Saint Petrus and Paulus church in Vyšehrad, Prague

This is a rather young church from the end of the 19th century. The entrance is very colourful and on top of the door there is a mosaic. Sculptures are detailed and tell biblical stories. Inside the church you see an art-nouveau interior, walls and ceiling are covered by paintings. You don’t know where to look first, many beautiful paintings and images make this a rich and fantastic church.

  13. I love it all, the doorway, the intricate carving in the second picture, the stained glass, and those wonderful painted archways! The outside of the building looks older than it really is.

  18. Can't remember if we were in Prague or not (it was looong ago!), but anywhere I love the beautiful churches built in the Gothic period!
You asked if I had seen the wall they built for the Olypic games (you probably meant a wall in front of the hutongs?.)
No, we were there the summer before the Olympics, so I got to see how China "really" was, lol.
Bytheway, it would have been difficult with this one, because I took the pic on the sidewalk of the main street (there was no space in between)
