Where to find special sushi in South Beach, Miami? Restaurant Doraku

On our first evening in South Beach Miami, we were looking for a good sushi restaurant. We already did some research on the internet and Doraku seemed a good choice. We went to Lincoln Road 1104 and tried it. Doraku has a fantastic bar, the ambience in the restaurant is cosy with dimmed red lampoons and the service is excellent. They serve medium size portions in a tapas based fashion. When each plate is ready it is served.

It is a very special restaurant, they combine fresh fish ingredients of the traditional Japanese cuisine with Latin and South American flavours. We assume that this is the reason why they work more with tempura and sauces. Doraku means the road to happiness and we assure you that we were happy. We are certainly going back for lunch in the coming days.

Op onze eerste avond in South Beach Miami, gingen we op zoek naar een goed sushi restaurant. We hadden reeds op het internet gezocht en Doraku leek een goede keuze. Dus gingen we naar Lincoln Road 1104 en probeerden we het uit. Doraku heeft een fantastische bar, de sfeer is warm en gezellig met de rood gedempte lampionnen, de bediening is uitstekend. Men serveert medium size porties in tapas vorm. Als een individuele schotel klaar is wordt deze aan tafel gebracht. 

 Het is een heel speciaal restaurant, ze combineren verse vis producten uit de traditionele Japanse keuken met een Latin en Zuid-Amerikaanse invloed. We veronderstellen dat dit de reden is waarom er meer met tempura en sausjes wordt gewerkt. Doraku betekent, de weg naar het geluk en blijdschap, we waren ook blij toen we buiten gingen. In de komende dagen gaan we zeker nog eens terug voor de lunch..
