Shopping and entertainment in Karlova, Prague

Karlova is a street in the Staré Město district of Prague. It is very popular by tourists because it connects two major attractions as the Karlův Most (Karls bridge) and Old City Hall with its astronomy clock. The street is colourful with many historical buildings and beautiful facades. In most shops they sell souvenirs like postcards, badges, puppets, little clocks, crystal and other local products. Next to the shops you have several theatres in the street where you could enjoy “Alice in Wonderland” or a creepy puppet show. There is always something to do or to see.

  4. Sadly, most of these puppets DO look creepy. The puppet sh0w must be for adults, because I think it must scare children. I have seen a clock like this, they move around, don't they? Very nice and intricate. A friend has one. That skull gargoyle is just plain iccky.

  10. Looks like you can spend hours wondering through the streets and just look at the shops and people. Although I might want to skip the strange puppet show.

  13. One day I will have my very own marionette, quite possibly from there! Once I do, he or she (ha ha) will have it's own blog too! I'm of fan of story-telling and happy and not the creepy puppets, but the cheery ones that tell stories like "Llama Llama Red Pajamas!" What great photos that really show a taste of a few of the things to do and see in Prague!

  14. Filip, thank you for your respond on my blog. I never paid attention to labels and to my surprise I found so many posts about different countries. That is so great.

I appreciate that you took time and pointed at labels on your blog.

I am patiently waiting for more posts about Prague.

    Kaya.

  19. I see my path, but I don’t know where it leads. Not knowing where I’m going is what inspires me to travel it.
