The entrance of the market is marked by a stand selling fresh vegetables, ideal to be served with the fish. All products are fresh, some of them even still alive. Several stands opened an improvised restaurant cooking fish and shrimps. People sit alongside the Bosphorus with their plate, the seagulls, cats and herons are ready to join in. Whatch your fish before it is gone.

What a variegated photo series. I liked the heron especially.
ReplyDeleteI love all those fishing rods, and the birds sitting behind the lunchers. I would love to have lunch with a heron! So did you eat there?
ReplyDeleteWonderful variety of produce from vegetables, fruit to fish - the Heron looks on the alert for any fish pickings.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh my comment disappeared! I wonder if that cat has an owner, or if he just roams about and lives off what the tourists and shop owners feed him, or perhaps he does have a family? Great supply of fish, these are amazing photos!
ReplyDeleteAre those fishing poles for rent? Sounds like it'd be a cool place to fish.
