Tulips and our garden in May, spring in The Netherlands

It took a long time this year before we received some sunshine and it was only for a few days. For the garden there is more light and it rains often so the plants and flowers are growing. We have mainly tulips and they come in all kinds of colours. As an experiment, I took two pictures of the purple and white tulips together and changed the focus with each shot. Hope you like it.

  3. The shot where you changed the focus is great fun - I slightly prefer the one with the white tulips in focus.

  7. Tulips aren't so common down here - I don't think it gets cold enough in most places?? Anyway, I love the way you've shot the flowers - especially the two shots with the change in field depth!! Have a great weekend!

  9. Your tulip are lovely. It's great when they are in own garden.

We have now the real summer. It changed very quick. Everything is full of green trees and all flowers are grown up. It' wonderfull, because the winter was so long and full of snow.

    Greetings

  11. You are doing very well with your new Nikon.
Here in Southern Australia there are lots of tulips in the spring time....some of the tulips farms export tulips to Holland.
