Walking around at night in London with a camera in my hand

Taking shots of London by night was something I had to do. During my stay, I looked for photo opportunities when returning from dinner. I even did major detours to look at the bright lights of major attractions.

My walks covered many districts of London and I never felt unsafe. I was more cautious on the Southbank and Soho but no problems at all. The most impressive shots I made are from the Chard, financial district, London Bridge, London Eye, flashy theatres and casinos, historical buildings, the Big Ben and the Hungerford pedestrian bridge crossing the Thames. The pictures were made with a compact Nikon CoolpixP90, shots with a tripod and SLR would be a lot sharper.

I used to have the Nikon P90 when I first started getting serious about photography. So tell me, what setting did you use? Because i must go somewhere at night and try this!! Do not know what happened yesterday, your post never showed up on my sidebar!!!! I figured you were maybe sick. Glad to see you posted though.
