Löwenbräukeller, drink a beer in Bavarian ambiance

The Löwenbräukeller is located in München Maxvorstadt on the Stiglmaierplatz, close the central station. When you approach the café you see the impressive tower which is nicely decorated with paintings. On the roof of the entrance a stone lion stands guard. The advertising against the wall makes it very clear, it is all about beer. Two lovely smiling ladies in dirndl are holding a mass in their hands. The cellar itself which dates from 1883 is the place to enjoy the beer and some food. It is a typical Bavarian place with arched ceilings and wooden furniture. Good if you are in a group and want to have fun. This is not the place for a romantic dinner.

De Löwenbräukeller vind je in München Maxvorstadt op de Stiglmaierplatz, die dichtbij het centraal station gelegen is. Bij het naderen van het gebouw valt onmiddellijk de grote toren op die gedecoreerd is met muurschilderingen. Een stenen leeuw op het dak van de ingang staat in voor de bewaking. De reclamepanelen op de zijkant van het gebouw maken duidelijk dat bier het belangrijkste product is in dit etablissement. Twee mooie lachende meisjes in dirndl houden een bierpot (mass) in hun handen. De kelder zelf, gebouwd in 1883 is een leuke plaats om van je bier met een hapje te genieten. Een typische Beierse kelder met geboogde plafonds en houten meubelen. Aan te raden voor in groep plezier te gaan maken. Dit is niet de meest geschikte plaats voor een romantische avond..

Fabulous terracotta facade of the government of Oberbayern in Munich

Almost at every street corner in the city centre of Munich, you find very beautiful buildings. Here at the corner of the Maximilianstrasse a 180 metre long building is attracting the attention. The brown, yellow facade in terracotta makes it special and on several towers you see statues overlooking the street. Coming closer, the full length of the building holds a gallery under which you can walk. The arched gallery is in light crème, yellow and orange colours. Each arch has sculptures carved into it. The Government in Bayern still has a lot of prestige with its buidling dating from 1864. We also went inside the institute, but here we only found offices. In the entrance hall all glory and glamour disappeared. A signal for all cival servants they have to start working.

Op bijna iedere hoek van München stadscentrum, vind je mooie gebouwen. Hier op de hoek van Maximiliansstrasse zie je een 180 meter lang gebouw die onmiddellijk de aandacht trekt. De bruin-gele gevel in terracotta maakt het speciaal en op verschillende torens zie je een standbeeld die naar de straat gericht staat. Van dichtbij zie je dat de volledige lengte van het gebouw een gallerij heeft waaonder je kan wandelen. De galerij met zijn bogen is in licht crème, gele en oranje kleuren. Iedere boog is versierd met graveringen. De regering van Oberbayern heeft nog veel prestige met zijn gebouw daterende uit 1864. We zijn hier ook binnengegaan maar vonden er enkel kantoren. De inkomhal verliest al zijn glorie en rijkdom. Een signaal aan de ambtenaar dat vanaf hier de werkdag aanvangt..

Medieval tower in the City park of Leuven

City Park Leuven is located between the "Tiensestraat" and the "Naamsestraat". If you enter from the "Tiensestraat" you walk through a long forest lane. The landscaping in the park in good. It is a rather small park but has an interesting historical tower. The medieval tower dates from the 12th century and is currently under restoration. The park is sometimes the spot for outdoor sex. Het stadspark van Leuven is gelegen tussen de Tiensestraat en de Naamsestraat. Als je binnengaat via de Tiensestraat wandel je door een lange bosdreef. De tuinarchitectuur is zeer mooi. Het park is nogal klein maar heeft een interessante middeleeuwse toren die dateert uit de 12de eeuw en nu wordt gerestoreerd. Het park is soms de spot voor buitenseks waardoor het verschillende keren in de media kwam..
