The giant Oktoberfest carnival fair in Munich, fun and rides

The Oktoberfest is not only a beer party but also a carnival fair. It must be one of the biggest fairs in the world. Children, teenagers and adults, they all find something they fancy here. The rides range from kiddy carrousels, horseback riding, shooting, fishing, candy shops, water rides, gost houses, giant swings, free fall towers, auto scooters, roller coasters…. A nice idea for a day out with the family, the parents could also go to the beer tents and the children to the fair. My favourite attraction is without any doubts “Monster”, a higher swing version as XXL.

  1. When I was younger it was a dream for me to go to the Oktoberest in Munich but now it seems too hot,too crowded and too many drunk people. However your photos make it look very fun!

  4. Your movement photos are wonderful, Filip! I also love the intricate patterns and shapes made by the amusement rides. Our Oktober Fest was held in Breckenridge last weekend but was a mild affair compared to yours.
