The Frederick’s church or Marble Church in Copenhagen

On the Amalienborg square you already see the green dome of the Frederick’s church, the most popular and famous church of Copenhagen. The church is rather young and was only completed about 150 years ago. During our visit it was closed and surrounded by construction works. Nevertheless, we had to show you the impressive columns which hold up the dome, the statues and golden decorations. We hope that on our next trip to Copenhagen, the church will be open again.

  7. The dome and doors alone are very impressive. As you say, maybe it will be open on your nest visit.

  8. A lovely church and beautiful detail. That often happens when travelling where there is scaffolding spoiling the shot.
