The Lustgarden and majestic Berliner Dom, Berlin

It is a sunny day and we are in the Lustgarden facing the Berliner Dom, the biggest protestant church of Berlin. On one of my pictures you see the fountain of the garden, the fernseturm and the cathedral in one shot. For this fabulous church you have to pay an entrance fee but it is well worth it. As well the exterior as the interior of the church are in very good shape and you are allowed to visit all floors and the observation deck.

Don't underestimate the climb to the roof. It is long and sometimes steep. On the upper floor you are allowed to go outside and see the city from the sky. In many places there are construction works and occasionally you see strange modern buildings. In the park, lays a large map of Berlin showing the main attractions. Tomorrow we continue with the interior of the Berliner Dom.

  1. Oh my goodness, this is awesome!!!!! And your shots are so GOOD, you show us from every good angle and position. Your first shot of the building made me want to hurry and see more. Does this church have a denomination, or is it just for all protestants? I snuck a peek at yesterday's post, love that unusual spire tower,
