Historic town of Anguillara Sabazia overlooking Bracciano Lake

The spring is not really as expected but standing at the edge of the Bracciano Lake looking at the small town of Anguillara, you feel happy. The ducks sit on the beach and a mother plays with her daughter at the water line. Everyone is waiting for the sun. Hopefully we will get better weather in the summer.

This little town near Rome is in fact a touristic highlight for its lake. We start climbing the narrow alleys, people look from behind their house, what are these people doing here? On the top of the village you have nice views over the lake. The sky is cloudy but blue. We return to the beach for a real Italian gelato, it was a delight.

  13. Looks a sweet place. Narrow lanes with cobblestones, very interesting. Wonder how women got on wearing high heel shoes or boots, but then again I suppose they were not spiky heels. Lovely photos.
