No, we didn't do this ourselves. Arriving at the top of the Wallberg, we saw several people with paragliding gear. A bit further, was the departing area. Everyone was putting on their warm clothing and more important a glider.
It is hard to imagine how many ropes are connected to the sail. Probably very difficult to keep it organised. When ready, they start running from the mountain slope. Making speed and catching the air stream to lift. Here they go on an adventure with fantastic views on the Tegernsee lake.
Nee, we deden dit niet zelf. Toen we op de bergtop aankwamen zagen we enkele mensen met hun paragliden uitrusting. Iets verder, was het lanceergebied. Iedereen trok zijn warme kledij aan en nog belangrijker hun paraglider.
Het is moeilijk voor te stellen hoeveel touwen er verbonden zijn met het zeil. Waarschijnlijk heel zwaar om dit onder controle te houden. Eens klaar, beginnen ze de berg af te lopen. Snelheid nemen en de luchtstroom om op te stijgen. Ze beginnen aan een avontuur met fantastische zichten op het Tegernsee meer.

We had the opportunity to watch a lot of paragliding when we were in Lucerne last spring. Amazing, but very scary looking. Preferred watching from the ground!!
