Local market at the abattoir of Anderlecht, Brussels

Are you looking for some bargains, or do you like to visit lively local markets, Anderlecht is the place to be. We went to the market in front of the main entrance of the abattoir on a Friday morning. Traders offer a wide range of products like clothing, suitcases, second hand stuff, but also fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. In front of the market in the Ropsy Chaudronstraat specialised shops sell fresh meat and charcuterie. This district of Brussels is an area where many Africans live. It brings life and colourful dressed people in the street.

Ben je op zoek naar koopjes, of hou je er van lokale markten, dan is Anderlecht zeker iets voor jou. Wij bezochten de markt net voor de hoofdingang van de slachthuizen op een vrijdagochtend. Er is een groot aanbod aan producten zoals kleding, valiezen, tweede hands spullen, maar ook vers fruit, groenten en vlees. Net voor de markt op de Ropsy Chaudronstraat zijn er gespecialiseerde winkels die vers vlees en charcuterie verkopen. Dit district van Brussel is een gebied waar vele Afrikanen wonen. Het brengt leven en kleurrijk geklede mensen in het straatbeeld..
