Have you ever dined in a cave? I did, restaurant Triton, Prague

Restaurant Triton has one of the most special interiors I have ever seen. It is recommended as one of the best restaurants of Prague but I have selected it for the cave! Triton is located on Václavské náměstí near Wenceslas Square. You enter via the bar on the ground floor, it looks normal. The restaurant however is in a deep underground cave which gives the restaurant an extraordinary ambiance. Chef Michal Novák prepares good quality food but this is secondary to the setting in my opinion. By the way it is not a real cave but that doesn’t matter, the castle of Disney World is also not real.

Restaurant Triton heeft een van de meest spectaculaire inrichtingen dat ik ooit gezien heb. Het wordt aanbevolen als een van de beste restaurants in Praag maar ik heb het geselecteerd omwille van de grot! Triton is gelegen op Václavské náměstí bij het Wenceslasplein. Je komt binnen via de bar op het gelijkvloers, alles ziet er normaal uit. Het restaurant ligt echter in een diepe ondergrondse grot wat een uitzonderlijke sfeer creëert. Chef Michal Novák staat in voor een goede keuken maar voor mij kwam het eten op de tweede plaats, na het algemene sfeerbeeld. Tussen haakjes, het is geen echte grot maar dat maakt niets uit, het kasteel in Disney World is ook niet echt..
