The port of Amsterdam, from the city centre to the North Sea

As you could deduct from the title, these picture were taken on board of a ship which cruised in the direction of the North Sea. The trip took about 2,5 hours. The port of Amsterdam is located directly behind the main train station so you could easily pay it a visit. The port is full of life, people cross the river in watertaxis or they are on sightseeing tours. Since you are in the city centre of Amsterdam, the port is surrounded by houses, apartments, offices and modern buildings. We even saw a Botel, that’s in fact a hotel on the water, in an old boat. The more you move towards the North Sea, the more industrial activity. A fascinating trip. Tomorrow we will show you the ship we are sailing on, for the moment we keep it as a surprise.

Zoals je al uit de titel kon afleiden, werden deze foto’s genomen aan boord van een schip die vaarde naar de Noordzee. De trip duurde ongeveer 2,5 uur. De haven van Amsterdam ligt achter het Centraal Station dus je kan het gemakkelijk bezoeken. De haven is vol energie en leven, mensen steken het water over in watertaxi’s of maken een rondvaart in plezierbootjes. Daar je in het centrum van Amsterdam bent is de haven omringt door huizen, appartementen, kantoren en moderne gebouwen. We hebben zelfs een Botel gezien, dat is in feite een hotel op het water in een oude boot. Hoe meer je richting de Noordzee vaart, hoe meer industriële bedrijvigheid. Een fascinerende boottocht. Morgen tonen we u het schip waarmee we varen, op dit moment blijft het een verrassing..
