On Strand you find many churches and historical buildings. One of the most famous hotels of London, the Savoy is located here. The most impressive building was the Courtauld Institute of Arts, the entrance gate ceiling projects a shinny pink light. Special.
I was very tempted to go to the musical of "The Bodyguard" but had a dinner appointment. Maybe the next time we are in London.
De hoofdstraat aan Charing Cross Station is Strand. Kleurvolle taxi's, sommige van hen in Union Jack stickers, wachten op klanten. Wij begrijpen dit niet daar je hier een goed metro systeem hebt en iedere vijf minuten komt er een dubbeldekker bus langs.
Op Strand vind je veel kerken en historische gebouwen. Een van de meest beroemde hotels, "Het Savoy" is hier gelegen. Het meest indrukwekkende gebouw was de Courtauld Institute of Arts, het plafond van de ingangspoort werd in het roze belicht. Heel speciaal.
Ik was sterk aangetrokken om naar de musical "The Bodyguard" te gaan kijken maar ik had een reservatie in een restaurant. Misschien de volgende keer als we in Londen zijn..
