A new milestone on our blog, 3.000.000 visitors at the end of 2014

Frequent readers noticed that the publishing rate on our blog is slowing down to about one article every two days. In 2015 we will continue to work, dance and travel. Most of our adventures and culinary discoveries will find their way on the internet via this forum.

The last two months we wrote articles from our travels in Colombia, Ecuador, Latvia, Italy, Malaysia, Panama, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Traveling is in our blood but occasionally we should do something in our home country so that we can also share this with you. We are very happy that last month we received our 3.000.000th visitor.

Like each monthly article we add a collage of our favorite pictures and a list of Top Commentators of the last two months. A few readers were very active, we thank them for these contributions and sharing our blog.

Trouwe lezers hebben opgemerkt dat we iets minder snel publiceren met ongeveer één artikel om de twee dagen. Gedurende 2015 gaan we verder werken, dansen en reizen. Het merendeel van onze avonturen en culinaire ontdekkingen zullen hun weg vinden op het internet via dit forum.

Deze laatste twee maanden schreven we over onze reizen door Colombia, Ecuador, Letland, Italië, Maleisië, Panama, Thailand en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Reizen zit in het bloed maar af en toe moeten we wat meer doen in eigen land en dit met jullie delen. We zijn blij dat we vorige maand onze 3 miljoenste bezoeker hebben mogen verwelkomen.

Zoals bij ieder maandartikel voegen we een collage toe van onze favoriete foto’s en een lijst Top Commentatoren. Enkele volgers waren heel actief de laatste twee maanden en we danken hen hartelijk voor hun bijdragen en het delen van onze blog.

Monthly Blog Report and Top Commentators May 2014

Our blog traffic is still increasing, this month we had more than 125.000 views, a new record. We fear when Google is changing its search algorithms, everything will collapse and we will drop to normal traffic around 50.000 a month. We will see.

As promised, we started our series of South America and are still in the first country, Peru. Many readers have placed positive comments and confirm interest in this continent. This doesn’t come as a surprise because Peru is a marvelous country with so much to offer in terms of culture, nature, traditions and good food.

In May we wrote about five countries: Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Peru. Our blog received many comments and we are super happy with the increased interaction between us and many of our loyal readers. Below you find again, the traditional picture collages of the month and a list of Top Commentators. We hope they receive more visitors via this list.

Ons blogverkeer is nog steeds aan het stijgen, deze maand hadden we meer als 125.000 hits, een nieuw record. We vrezen er een beetje voor als Google zijn zoek algoritmes gaat wijzigen dat ons verkeer in elkaar gaat storten tot een niveau van ongeveer 50.000 per maand. We zien wel. 

Zoals beloofd, hebben we deze maand voor de eerste keer over Latijns-Amerika gepubliceerd en we zijn nog steeds aan het eerste land, Peru. Vele lezers hebben positief gereageerd en bevestigen hun interesse in dit continent. Dit komt niet als een verrassing want Peru is een prachtig land met een groot aanbod in cultuur, natuur, tradities en lekker eten. 

Gedurende mei schreven we over vijf landen: België, Nederland, Italië, Spanje en Peru. Onze blog kreeg vele commentaren en we zijn heel blij met de interactie tussen bezoekers en trouwe lezers. Hieronder vind je terug de fotocollages van de maand en de lijst van Top Commentators. We hopen dat ze via deze lijst meer volgers krijgen.

Top commentators on our blog during August 2012

In August, we wrote 30 articles about 8 different countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, The Netherlands and the USA. We try to keep our blog interesting and cover many countries all over the world. All places we write about, we have also visited. The volume of readers this month was a bit lower than last month, just above 15.000 page views.

Thank you to all readers and for writing comments on our articles. A special thanks to Jeanne who commented 41 times on our blog this month. In August, we had 503 comments from 91 different readers. Below you find the list of the top 15 commentators with a link to their blog. We hope they receive a few more followers via this way.

In augustus hebben we 30 artikelen geschreven over 8 verschillende landen: België, Denemarken, Duitsland, Finland, Nederland, Oostenrijk, Tsjechië en de Verenigde Staten. We proberen onze blog zo interessant mogelijk te houden en schrijven over vele landen wereldwijd. Alle plaatsen hebben we dan ook zelf bezocht. Het aantal lezers is deze maand iets lager, juist boven de 15.000 hits. 

Hartelijk dank aan onze lezers en voor het schrijven van commentaren op onze publicaties. Een speciaal dankwoord gaat uit naar Jeanne die deze maand 41 keer op onze blog schreef. Top commentators on my blog during November 2011

To thank my regular commentators, I decided to publish an overview of the top 10 people who comment on my blog on a monthly basis. These are the most active bloggers and visiting their blogs is also rewarding for your blog. Enjoy their very interesting blogs and make new blog friends. Good luck.

During November 2011, I had 69 commentators and received a total of 395 comments. Both statistics are a record since I started the top commentator articles last September. There are four people who were in the top ten three months in a row: Jana, Seraphina’s Phantasie, Cloudia and Michael & Hanne. You are the most active commentators for three months in a row, it is appreciated. Thanks to all 69 commentators, keep it up, I am curious who will be in the top ten next month.
