The Trevi Fountain in Rome is probably one of the most famous fountains in the world. It looks like new but actually the fountain already existed in the 16th century, the renovations to this shape were completed in1762, the works lasted for 30 years. How is this possible 30 years of work to renovate a fountain? You can not imagine how many people want to see this landmark. So many visitors’ throw coins in the water, make a whish and hope for good fortune. Maybe it is normal that you see beautiful women in Rome, but the most famous goddess is Anita Ekberg in de movie “La Dolce Vita” from 1960.

ReplyDeleteWow.. What a crowd over there.. I have no doubt it took 30 years due to the intricate designs and statues near the fountain.. If the crowd wasn't so big, this would be a very nice place to relax and unwind..
