Dubai Deira the old town also attracts modern buildings

Dubai Deira is one of the old regions of Dubai. You find here many old houses and simple streets. Deira is located on the east of the Dubai Creek, it is known as a cheap shopping area. In this part of the city you can walk through streets with older normal houses, no glitter and glamour. There are souks, markets, and antique fisher and freight boats. However, modern buildings are slowly moving in at the border of Deira. Here you can see a mosque next to older houses but also one together with modern buildings. It all has its charm. On one of the main crossings you find the clock tower, a modern piece of art. At the Government Building of Dubai, you see enormous and beautiful pictures of the rules of the Emirate. It is amazing what they are achieving here in Dubai.

  4. Oh my goodness, these astounding buildings, they are total works of art. The clock tower itself is amazing. But my favorite may be the first picture, where you caught the reflections in the glass.
