Modern Financial District at the Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai

The Sheikh Zayed Road is the main road of Dubai and the Emirates, it is more than 500km long. This 2 x 5 lane express way is the main route to Abu Dhabi. We were particularly interested in the part located at the Dubai Financial District. Here you find many skyscrapers and modern architecture. We took some nice pictures from the ground level. On recommendation of a tourist out of Bahrein, we visited the pool deck of the Four Points hotel. On the 46th floor we could take pictures of the Sheikh Zayed Road from about 150m altitude. As you can see there are still buildings higher. Due to the financial crisis, construction works on some buildings have been stopped. This is a pity.

  2. What a great picture of you in front of the buildings! They really like blue and gold in their architecture, don't they? And rightly so, it is all so beautiful, like a city of the future! I also see something like monorails below, for travel?
