Berlin Airshow ILA 2012, static displays

Last Sunday, we were at the ILA Airshow in Berlin. It was a big event which is organised every two years and attracts around 250.000 visitors. In this first article we are going to show some pictures of airplanes we found impressive. Some are colourful civilian acrobatic planes but most of it is military equipment. From the military planes, my interest goes out to the fighter jets like the Tornado, F16, Mirage, Mig-29, Alpha Jet, F-18 Hornet, and not to forget the new Eurofighter Typhoon. Next to these ultra fast machines they also had helicopters, cargo planes and even a civilian electrical aircraft.

  7. We live in a military town which offers plenty of airshows and military plane exhibits. I'm more drawn to the colorful planes you captured at the airshow. They're such contrast to the drab looking military ones.
