Taking a tender boat to the beach of Punta del Este

We arrive at Punta del Este with a cruise ship but there is no pier yet where the giant sea vessel can dock so we have to tender. Luckily we are good customers and are always in the first few boats going ashore. Approaching the beach, the skyline of Punta del Este grows and grows. We never expected such a big city.

The blue building is the local casino and just at that location starts a walking platform next to the white sand and dunes. It was not too warm but brave tourist still tried their luck on the beach. Art is an important element of Punta del Este and you can see the mussels lying between the rocks.

  4. The blue and white building is so unique. The floors are made like giant steps. All these huge buildings are too close to the water for me; what if a giant tidal wave came?
