Tropical bird watching in Punta del Este

After visiting a museum we went for a walk in the park close by. Just to relax a bit and look for some shade. It was hot that afternoon. Small parrots were playing on the grass and each time we had them in sight to take a picture they changed location. It was almost impossible to approach them for a good shot but one time we were lucky with a green parrot sitting in a tree.

We are however very pleased with the two pictures of a low flying bird. It is amazing to have the different positions of his wings in full flight. Almost like watching TV and freezing the image. Taking these pictures is difficult but we are happy with the result and sharpness.

  3. Oh my goodness, this is an awesome picture!!! This bird is so strange, and he has little points on the joint of his wings, very mysterious. Do you know what he is? It s very hard to capture birds in flight, you did so well!! The shape of his wings, and even his beak open! I wonder if he is scolding you...

  7. The wing tips looks like those flashing lights of an airplanes wings ! I wonder if the engineers got the ideas from this bird !
