Central Market, more than 100 years shopping in Kuala Lumpur

Tourists who would like to buy a souvenir, T-shirt or local products, have to visit the Central Market in Kuala Lumpur. This shopping area already exists since 1888 and it is an interesting cozy venue. The outdoor street shops and stands are covered by a metal glass frame. It looks a bit like a scene out of a science fiction movie. Modern elements are colliding with classic houses which have been renovated to the highest standards.

We particularly liked the colorful bird backpacks, flacons of local made perfume, the t-shirts from Kuala Lumpur, the waving welcome cats and the cute bear in the shape of a flower bouquet. Central Market also has a food court where you can eat very cheap and it also looks very good. On the last picture you see Malaysian pancakes made a la minute similar to the Italian Pizzas.
