Together with our friends from Belgium, Koen and Kim, we walked alongside the Rhein Promenade in Dusseldorf. We were surprised of the strong current cargo boats have to fight to make their way upstream. The river is so strong and probably cold that landing up in the water would be very dangerous, maybe lethal.
There is a bicycle market, a carnival fair and many places to have a drink. It was still cold in the morning but the views on the river banks were very nice.

Lovely to see you both my friends
ReplyDeletethis kind of reminds me of our boardwalk in New Jersey. Picture #10, the canal, is my favorite! The metal sculptures are very dark! You are both looking very good!
