Park of Chateau D’eau and the statue of Bartholdi, Colmar

This is a beautiful park with in the middle an old water tower. In my first picture, I tried to combine some flowers with the Chateau D’eau or the water castle of 1886. In the park you also find the statue of the famous sculpture Mr. Bartholdi. Many of you will probably think who is Mr. Bartholdi? We don’t know him, but I am sure you know his work. He designed the Statue of Liberty which was a gift from France to New York. The park has some special trees where we both took a picture; Kristel was off course better looking then me but she could push the tree further down. My last flower shot is my best attempt until now of macro photography.

Dit is een mooi park met in het midden een oude watertoren. Op mijn eerste foto probeer ik een combinatie te maken van wat bloemen met Chateau D’eau of het waterkasteel uit 1886. In het park staat ook een standbeeld van de beroemde Heer Bartholdi. Vele van jullie zullen zich waarschijnlijk afvragen wie Dhr. Bartholdi is? Als je hem niet kent, ken je zeker zijn werk. Hij ontwierp het Vrijheidsbeeld dat in New York staat, een geschenk van Frankrijk aan de Verenigde Staten. Het park bezit ook enkele uitzonderlijke bomen waarbij we beiden een foto namen, Kristel zier er natuurlijk beter uit dan mezelf maar ze kon de boom toch niet verder neerdrukken. De laatste bloemenfoto is mijn beste poging ooit in macro fotografie..
