The port has the second highest passenger travel in the world after Hong Kong. This is partially realised via cruise travel but also the ferries to islands near Naples. Ideal for cruise passengers to enjoy a cheap day trip to Ischia, Sorrento or Capri.
If you don't want to take a ferry and have already seen Naples. No worries, the Vesuvius volcano and the ancient city of Pompeii are close by.
