Amazing Snooker and impressions of Republic Street, Valletta

Republic Street is the main shopping street of Valletta. Probably this is the most important street for visitors with its shops, restaurants, the St. John's cathedral, the National Library and a Roman temple.

The house with the green window blinds and red orange banners is a restaurant bar. It must have been a church or large chapel, a very special place. Once we entered we saw on the left side a few snooker tables. It would be the first time that we play snooker in a church. Funny.

For lunch we enjoyed a curry ravioli stuffed with rabbit and a local white wine. It was a La Torre Chardonnay from Malta. It was even warm enough to sit outside on a terrace, what could one wish more during a long winter weekend in southern Europe.

The Old Box – 1988: Kristel in a Grand écart or split

As a nine year old girl, Kristel was a gymnast and grabbed every possible opportunity to improve her skills. On this picture, you see her doing a split next to a snooker table. While her father played snooker with friends, she practiced.
