Legends in Concert at Harrahs, Las Vegas

A friend in Las Vegas took us to the Legends in Concert show at Harrahs. At first we were a bit sceptical and our expectations were rather low. Totally unjustified, the show was very professional and the artists, well they all were great. Each show features different artists, in our show we saw: Elvis (Matt Lewis), Tom Jones (Steve McCoy), Elton John (Mitch Adams), Aretha Franklin (Denita Asberry) and Tim McGraw (Chad Givens). Most shows in Vegas are very expensive but this one has a fair price. Don't doubt, we are sure you will enjoy it.

Een vriend in Las Vegas nam ons mee naar the Legends in Concert show in het Harrahs hotel. Eerst waren we wat sceptisch en de verwachtingen lagen een beetje laag. Dit was totaal onterecht, de show was zeer professioneel en de artiesten uitstekend. Iedere show heeft verschillende artiesten, in onze voorstelling zagen we: Elvis (Matt Lewis), Tom Jones (Steve McCoy), Elton John (Mitch Adams), Aretha Franklin (Denita Asberry) and Tim McGraw (Chad Givens). De meeste shows in Las Vegas zijn zeer duur maar deze was correct geprijsd. Twijfel niet, we zijn er zeker van dat je het top zal vinden.

Old Egypt in the Luxor Hotel, Las vegas

In Las Vegas everything needs to be big. The most famous hotels on the Las Vegas Boulevard or the so called "Strip" are all top attractions. If it is your fist time in Vegas, you need to foresee two days just to visit the most spectacular hotels. You don't even have to spend any money to do this. The Luxor Hotel is 15 years old but still looks very good. At the front of the hotel you find a Sphinx. To give you an idea of the size of this hotel, it has more than 4.400 rooms. We stayed in here in 2006 and were pleased. Now this is one of the better priced hotels on the strip. We can recommend it.

In Las Vegas moet alles groot zijn. De meest beroemde hotels op de Las Vegas Boulevard, de zogenaamde "Strip" zijn allemaal top attracties. Als het de eerste keer is dat je naar Las Vegas gaat moet je zeker twee dagen voorzien om hotels te bezichtigen. Je hoeft zelfs geen geld op te maken om dit te doen. Het Luxor hotel is 15 jaar oud maar ziet er nog steeds goed uit. Aan de voorzijde van het hotel staat een enorme Sphinx. Om u een idee te geven van de grote van het hotel, het heeft meer dan 4.400 kamers. We verbleven hier in 2006 en waren tevreden. Nu is dit een van de beter geprijsde hotels an de Strip. We kunnen het aanbevelen.

On our way to Las Vegas, Nevada

Around 4pm we left Valencia and started our journey to Las Vegas. Our hire car was a Mercury Grand Marquis. It drives very soft when the road is flat. We stopped several times on the way because it was so cold in California we had to buy jackets. In some places you even saw snow on the mountains. We didn't book a hotel and it was hard to find one. We finally did in the area of Victorville. The scenery on our way to Las Vegas was changing all the time. We added a few pictures to give you an impression.

Rond 16:00 uur vertrokken we uit Valencia op weg naar Las Vegas. Onze huurwagen was een Mercury Grand Marquis. Deze reed zeer zacht op vlakke wegen. We hebben verschillende keren gestopt om jassen te kopen daar het zo koud was in Californie. Op sommige plaatsen zag je zelfs sneeuw op de bergen. We hadden geen hotel geboekt en het bleek toch moeilijker dan verwacht een plaats om te overnachten te vinden. Uiteindelijk vonden we ons hotel in Victorville. De uitzichten langs de weg veranderden constant en we hebben enkele foto's hiervan bijgevoegd.
