A surprising interior of the Lisbon cathedral

The Lisbon cathedral has been built in 1147 and is almost 900 years old. We tried to take pictures from the exterior but this was not so easy with the multitude of electricity and tram wires. The entry portal and doors were impressive, built for giants.

After a disappointing exterior, we were really surprised and impressed with the beautifull ceiling, paintings and stained glass. A church or cathedral full treasures. In a side chapel we saw a row of miters and a broken white priest garment used in processions. It was the first time we saw something like this.

  8. Lovely church. Those door and surrounds are very much like the Cathedral at Bendigo....wires are always a nuisance.
