Very good restaurant experience, Fouquet in the Javastraat Den Haag

It is exceptional that we are so impressed of a restaurant in The Netherlands. Restaurant Fouquet works with very good ingredients, knows how to combine products and has nice food presentation. The plates look young, refreshing, modern and the portions are balanced. The wines were also good and served in Riedel glasses which is always a plus. The interior creates a warm atmosphere. Taking into account this high standard, one would expect a more formal service approach. The waiter/maître had a friendly, open and personal touch in his communication with the customers. Unconventional but we liked it. Below you find a few pictures of courses: tuna with bacon, cream of celeriac, scallops, sea bass, plaice with Norway lobster, Black Angus beef and a pineapple dessert. Overall, a very good restaurant experience with fair prices. We can recommend Fouquet as one of the better places in region of The Hague. We will certainly go back.

Wij gaan zeker terug..

  2. All the food looks fantastic, Filip! You make my mouth water. However, I thought the pineapple dessert was an egg! My best to you and Kristel.

  4. The portions looks small actually. But I'm pretty sure they all taste good :). Looks like a display from Masterchef Malaysia.

  5. I am quite behind reading all my favorite blogs – I read your last 21 posts. I’d like to visit Mechelen – such interesting architecture. I also enjoyed the visit to Delf and would love to visit the factory. Back in the 60s when my husband and I went to Holland the first time I bought a tile for hot plates in Delfware and I have enjoyed using it many times. All your meals look appetizing. I did not have lunch yet and it’s almost dinner time, so I am going to make dinner after looking at all your great meals I am hungry.
