“Hôtel de Ville” de Paris, or the city hall of Paris

For some of you who doubt about the meaning of the title, this is not a hotel but the city hall of Paris. The building is enormous and was constructed during the 16th century. Due to the construction works in front of the building we could not take any panoramic pictures but from the side it is also very beautiful. The decorations and French colours of the National Day on the 14 of July were still on display. The facade of the town hall holds many statues of famous French people like: Henri Victor, Théodore Rousseau, Voltaire, Molière, and many others. The current mayor of Paris is Mr. Bertrand Delanoë, a very powerful man like Jacques Chirac has proven by becoming the President of France. For the people who would like to go shopping, the “Bazar de l’Hôtel de Ville” is just around the corner.
