Last week I was on a business trip to Munich and my flight was delayed because of snow fall. Normally, I don’t take my camera with me this period of the year because we don’t have enough light in the evening. It was fun to see kids playing with their sleds in the snow. The banks and the little islands in the middle of the Isar River were covered by snow. In the background you see the Maximilians church. On my way to the hotel, I pass through the green zone of the Quellenstrasse with the bright red building of Musicakademie. What a contrast with the white snow. At work, I took some pictures of the Deutsches Museum and the city centre with monuments like the Saint Peter’s church, the city hall and the Frauenkirche.

I am so glad you took your camera this time!!! The second picture is absolutely haunting!! The third with the snow and red building, I would love to walk down that path, when it is a little less slippery! The fourth picture, the snow reflection, looks just like smoke in the water!! There is a song called Smoke On The Water, and that is the first thing I thought of. You must take your camera everywhere, you never know when life will surprise you!
ReplyDeleteNice fotos from winter München.
ReplyDeleteAs Ginny said, you have to keep your camera with you - allways :)
Regards, and Happy evening of Valentino's Day.

ReplyDeleteKlasse eingefangen...I love the fourth picture, of the river! great close-up! What really strikes me in winter is how beautiful some fountains get:-)
ReplyDeleteAnother day - another city! Your snow shots are fabulous - I like the contrast of the willow bushes in the second and the red building really does pop in all the white.
ReplyDeleteGlad you brought your camera.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter shots, I especially like the last one.
Mette
That red house really stands out in the white snow. I am glad you brought your camera with you. It is a big contrast to the spring time when I was there a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteStunning photos!
ReplyDeleteWow, never know winter can be this beautiful~
Heel goed gezien, groetjes Cristien.
