If you are looking for something special to surprise your partner who loves skiing, look no further, Iglu-Dorf is the place you need. On the Zugspitze you find the small hotel completely made out of snow and ice. When you wake up in the morning you are directly on the slopes and you don’t have to get off the mountain in the evening. You stay there on the mountain, far away from the normal world. The Iglus have ice carvings as art and you sleep improvised ice beds. Each evening there is a fondue, you have a bar, and there is even a Jacuzzi. What are you waiting for.

ReplyDeleteHad only seen ice hotels in TV report, but not in photos. Tell me something, and you can be warm or cold it is? The photos are amazing.
ReplyDeleteToo cold for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! Please excuse the pun. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved these photos (esp the hallway)! Did you & Kristel spend the night? I keep thinking of her in her beautiful red gown, shivering in the cold. I read of this place last year in a nonfiction book about sleep habits.
ReplyDeleteWow, dat is wel heel bijzonder lijkt me, gaaf zeg.
ReplyDeleteGroetjes, Mirthe
I'm not an avid skiier, but I wouldn't mind staying in one of these igloos. Looks like an interesting experience!

Groetjes Dietmut
